Info: Don B. Lord, co-owner of Shepard’s Select Properties, Inc. retired as VP and Regional Manager from Silver Burdett Company in 1977. He purchased Shepard’s Agency in 1979, later becoming partners with David Hawkins and forming Shepard’s Select Properties, Inc.
As a businessman, Don believes that outstanding customer and client service is what sets Shepard’s apart from their competition, devoting a balance of old-fashioned, home-town customer service while keeping up with the new advancements in technology for convenience.
Don enjoys the practice of real estate because it offers him the opportunity to meet new people and make friends from all over the world who share his passion for coastal Maine communities.
Don’s involvement in community activities is tremendous. When he is not at the office or out in the field servicing his customer and clients, Don can be found following his grandchildren to their sporting events, chess and other activities.
